Charly, competitive telemarker
Originally from Brides-les-Bains, Charly discovered skiing at a very young age, first learning downhill skiing and then Nordic skiing before finding his true calling: telemark skiing. A true enthusiast, he joined the Méribel Sports Club and quickly progressed through the junior circuit, where he won a junior world championship title.
At senior level, Charly gradually established himself among the best: during the 2023-2024 World Cup, he secured two victories and several podium finishes, ending up very high in the overall rankings. More recently, during the 2024/2025 season, he continued to shine on the international circuit and confirmed his place among the leaders in the discipline. He also distinguished himself at major events, notably with a bronze medal in the team event at the 2025 World Championships in Les Contamines, alongside his French teammates.
After studying materials science and engineering, Charly is now fully dedicated to his telemark skiing career. He embodies a generation of committed, versatile telemark skiers who are deeply attached to the mountains.
Charly chose the 22 Designs Bandit bindings for his competition skis, paired with Crispi Evo NTN WC boots. For him, the Bandits are truly excellent: they offer smooth flex, are easy to put on and take off, and feature retractable ski brakes that never get in the way, even when carving. He also appreciates how easy it is to adjust the spring tension. He also had the opportunity to test the L5S1 Master R18 (Proto) with the Bandit. Charly really liked this equipment on the slopes. The short-radius skis are playful, while maintaining good rigidity and efficient energy transfer in turns.
